Contraindications to Treatment

There are certain conditions with which you should not be receiving manual therapy. This includes: all contagious diseases, fever, colds (no matter how mild!), flu, shingles, recent operations, acute injury, uncontrolled diabetes, and uncontrolled hypertension.

Working with clients with the above health conditions not only endangers our clients, it endangers our therapists. If our therapists have even the mildest cold, they are unable to work so they don’t pass the virus along to our more fragile clients. Please respect our rules. They are in place to keep you safe!

If you have any questions about whether or not you are able to receive treatment, please give us a call. We are happy to assess if it is safe for you to receive treatment or if your appointment should be rescheduled.

You should not be receiving manual therapy if you have any of the following:

  • all contagious diseases
